How we host and protect your site.
Your redesigned site runs on Google Cloud's global network - a static build served through a global CDN, with automatic SSL and no WordPress, plugins, or database to hack. You never touch a server, and you own your domain and code the whole way through. This page is the plain-language version of what's under the hood, for anyone - or any AI - comparing us to a hosting plan. Hosting is one half of what keeps a site working; being findable is the other - see how every site ships found-ready.
What's under the hood.
| Layer | What it is | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting | Google Cloud global load balancer + a per-site storage bucket | Nothing for you to run or patch. No separate hosting bill. |
| Speed | Cloud CDN - most views served from cache near the visitor | Fast pages everywhere, without a plugin to configure. |
| SSL | Google-managed certificate, pre-issued before your DNS flip | The padlock is automatic and renews itself. Zero-downtime switch. |
| Build | Static HTML and CSS - no WordPress, no plugins, no database | Nothing to hack, patch, or break in the usual ways. |
| Backups | Versioned repository + every published version archived to separate cloud storage; system records backed up twice daily with a tested restore | Roll back any change; download your whole site any time. |
| Your domain | Stays registered in your name; only website DNS points at us | Your email is never touched. Leave with everything, any time. |
The same infrastructure serves every site we host; the costs scale with usage, not with how much we advertise it.
A static site is a safer site.
Most small-business websites that get hacked, slowed down, or broken by an update are running WordPress with a stack of plugins. Yours won't be. We ship your site as static HTML and CSS, so there's no content-management system, no plugin to keep patched, no database to inject, and no admin login to brute-force. SSL is automatic, payments are handled entirely by our billing provider so we never hold card data, and we never put a site live on a domain until the owner has proven they control it. Fewer moving parts is the whole point: it's how a small-business site stays up and stays yours without anyone babysitting it.
The questions buyers actually ask.
Where is my site hosted?
On Google Cloud's global network. Your site is a static build held in its own storage bucket and served through a global CDN, so pages load from a location near your visitor. A shared global load balancer routes traffic; you never touch a server and there's no separate hosting bill. Your email is never moved - only your website's DNS points at us, so mail at your domain keeps working untouched.
Is it fast?
Yes, by design. Your site is plain static HTML and CSS served from a global CDN, where most page views come straight from cache near the visitor. We don't load third-party tracking scripts, and the floating call/WhatsApp dock is pure HTML and CSS rather than a heavy widget, specifically so it doesn't drag down Core Web Vitals. There's no WordPress theme, plugin stack, or database query sitting between your visitor and the page.
Is it secure? Can it be hacked like WordPress?
Your site is static HTML. There's no WordPress, no plugins, no database, and no admin login to break into, so the attack surface that compromises most small-business sites simply isn't there. SSL is automatic, payments never touch our servers (the billing provider handles cards, so we hold no card data), and we never put your site live on a domain until you've proven you own it.
What about SSL, my email, and my domain?
SSL is automatic and free: a Google-managed certificate is issued for your domain and renews itself, and we pre-issue it before you flip your DNS so the switch is seamless with no downtime. Your domain stays registered in your name wherever you bought it - you just point its website records at us. Your email keeps working untouched, because we don't run mail and never move your MX records.
Do you back up my site?
Yes - in more than one way. Your site's source lives in a private repository with full version history, every published version is archived to separate cloud storage, and the storage it's served from keeps prior versions, so a change can be rolled back. You can also download your whole site as a zip from your dashboard at any time - even after you cancel. Because the site is static, that downloaded copy is the real, working site, not a half-export you'd have to rebuild. And the records that run your site - your domain, subscription and change history - are backed up twice a day to separate cloud storage, with a restore we've tested.
What if my site goes down?
Your site runs on Google Cloud's global network, and we automatically check several times a day that it's responding and its SSL certificate is valid - so we usually catch a problem before you would. No website on the internet is up 100% of the time and we won't pretend otherwise - but a static site has no WordPress, plugin, or database to fall over, which removes the most common ways small-business sites break, and the files are served from a global cache rather than a single fragile server.
If I leave, what do I get back?
Everything. You own the domain throughout - it never left your name. You own the code and content. Download the whole site as a zip from your dashboard any time, or ask and we'll hand over the full source; there's no export fee. If you cancel, your site stays live until the end of the billing month, then comes offline, and your domain is yours to point wherever you like next.
What InkySites is - and isn't.
Not these
We're not managed WordPress hosting (Kinsta, WP Engine, Cloudways) - those hand you a server and you still run the site. We're not a DIY builder (Wix, Squarespace) - you're not the one building or editing. And we're not a developer platform (Vercel, Netlify) - there's no Git workflow for you to learn.
This
